And for that reason, we give the G37 (and the G25) an overall score of just 5 out of 10 on the FamilyCarGuide scale. While this sport sedan performs like a true sports car, with such nimble, crisp handling, and takes to racetracks or curvy canyon roads with fluency, its tight cabin and excessive road noise make it one of the least family-friendly choices among luxury-brand sedans.
Overall, the nicely appointed interior of the G37 comes with enough space to just fit four adults (three kids could fit across the rear bench in a pinch), but it's a tight, intimate cabin, with an instrument-panel design and theme that looks and feels more sports-car than practical sedan. The front seats in the G37 are nicely contoured, and great for keeping you in place in the curves, but the aggressive side bolsters don't allow you to turn around and check on the kids very easily. Likewise, the backseats themselves are low, and getting in or securing kids' seats involves some ducking. The G37 also fails to deliver with folding rear seatbacks, though it does have a ski pass-through and trunk space is quite good.
